GUTTER REPAIR vs. REPLACEMENT

Deciding whether to repair or replace your gutters can be challenging. If you’re trying to decide whether to repair or replace your gutters, there are a few things to consider. 

Repair If:

• There are a few fissures missing
• Only a small localized section of the gutter is damaged
• One joint or closure is leaking
• If a few hangers are loose
• Only downspout(s) show damage or has fallen
• Small hole(s) is present

Replace If:

• HOLES: Branches, debris, or other things can cause damage to your gutters. If multiple holes are large holes are present, replace your gutters.
• RUST:   If excessive rust is visible and is visible throughout your system, replace your gutters.
• LEAKS: If there are multiple leaks throughout the gutter system, replace it.

In most cases, plastic or vinyl gutters cannot be repaired. We recommend replacing these types of gutters with a metal seamless gutter system that will not leak and will last for many years.
